A POETIC TAGORE DAY: THE MOMENT AN ERA OF POETRY STARTED YEARS AGO

As per the Bengali calendar, it was Pochishe (25th) Baishakh (২৫ শে বৈশাখ ১২৬৮, or 7th May, 1861) that the Bengali people celebrate Rabindra Jayantee on the auspicious occasion of the birthday of the great World Poet, Rabindranath Tagore.
